Hi there!

My parents named me Darlene Poluan. I was born and raised in Indonesia for 12 years before my family emigrated to the United States. For the next 12 years, I went through high school, college, and my early teaching career in California. This is my 12th year in Singapore, and if the pattern continues, I suppose I would move elsewhere next year! My husband is Singaporean, though, so the probability of continuing to live in Singapore is quite high.

One of my proudest moment is being able to be married on the ultimate pi day of the century: March 14, 2015. It was a Saturday. The best part was when we were able to announce our first dance at 9:26 pm, the next 3 digits of pi: 3.1415926. It was well-planned, to say the least.

When I have a vision, I am determined to work hard in planning, organizing, and following-through.
